David Rem

David Rem’s journey is one defined by resilience, faith, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. Born and raised in Queens, New York, David’s life took a pivotal turn in 1974 with an unexpected visit from Fred Trump Sr. Following the sudden passing of David’s father from a heart attack, Fred Trump Sr. knocked on the Rem family’s door just days later. Standing face-to-face with young David, he asked, “Kid, is your mother home?” That day, Fred Trump Sr. offered to pay the tuition for David and his siblings to attend Kew Forest School, opening doors to an education that would change the course of their lives. Trump Sr. didn’t want the Rem children in public school—he believed in giving them a chance at a brighter future.

This generosity helped David envision new possibilities, inspiring him to pursue Pre-Med at St. John’s University and later dedicating his life to helping others. His education enabled him to save his sister Eugenia’s life and that of their cousin Carmine, even traveling with his family to Berlin, Germany, for a life-saving treatment for Eugenia—a trip that required Eugenia to mortgage her home to make it possible.

But David’s story didn’t end there. His life has been marked by overcoming personal struggles, including time spent in prison, an experience that deepened his understanding of justice, faith, and the need for reform. His life is intertwined with the legacy of the Trump family, and he has watched with a unique perspective as events unfolded in the public eye, including the controversial books written by Mary Trump and Freddy Trump III before the 2020 election and again leading into 2024. Throughout it all, David’s mother, a woman of faith, continually prayed for Donald Trump, never wavering in her respect for the family who helped her children.

In 2024, with a vision shaped by his life’s journey and the strength drawn from his family, David Rem announced his run for NYC Mayor. Standing onstage at Madison Square Garden on October 27, 2024, alongside Donald Trump at the Trump Rally, he shared his commitment to bringing integrity, accountability, and opportunity back to New York City. David’s campaign is driven by his belief in the transformative power of resilience, community, and a government that works for its people.

Through DavidRem.com, David seeks to connect with New Yorkers and share his mission to build a city where families, small businesses, and communities can thrive. His life’s story, from a knock on the door in 1974 to his bid for NYC Mayor, is a testament to the values of faith, family, and an unwavering belief in second chances. David Rem is ready to serve and is committed to building a better New York City for all.
